The time required to download a file is related to the download speed of your internet connection.
Speeds for a DSL or cable connection are usually in the range of 100 to 1000 KB/sec. For example: The approximate time to download the DesignWare 3.3 Program file ( 35 MB in size ) is 3 to 4 minutes for a download speed of 250 KB/sec. The library files ( about 350 MB each ) can take 30 to 40 minutes each to download. |

After pressing Download for the appropriate file, the following screen will appear. ![]() Pressing Run will immediately start the download of the selected file to a temporary location and it will not be saved on your hard drive. We suggest you select Save. If Save is pressed, you can save the downloaded file to your hard drive. Another window will appear where you need to select the location for the saved file. After the file has been downloaded, the following screen will appear ![]() Press Run to launch the downloaded install program to copy the selected program or libraries to your hard drive. If there are problems or you lose your connection to the interenet during the download process, restart the download of the selected file. The download process should countinue at the point where the problem occured. |
